Palak Pulao, a nutrient packed one pot healthy meal. Its a perfect Kid’s Lunch box recipe for kids. Kids always have an aversion to eat greens, this pulao is one way to make them eat the greens. Along with spinach, we are adding green peas, potato and mild masala that makes this pulao interesting and enjoyable. We can serve Palak Pulao with Raita of our choice and enjoy this healthy and delicious pulao.

We can make palak pulao with chopped spinach or with the puree. I have chosen the puree method as my kids are finicky about eating leaves. We can make this same pulao in pressure cooker too. I have given here the Instant Pot method of making this pulao.

How to make Pulao in Pressure Cooker:

  1. First important point to remember while cooking in pressure cooker is we need to soak the rice atleast for 20 mins.
  2. Then, we need to follow the below steps from 1-3.
  3. Finally we need to close the cooker and put the whistle. Cook in very low flame for about 20 mins. Mostly we will not even get a whistle within 20 mins. We will get very fluffy and nice Pulao ready by then.
